Do you provide Public Liability Insurance Certificates?
We can produce certificates of our Public Liability Insurance (PLI) if required. This is important, should any accidents occur between the Disco Equipment and your guests, which is at the liability of the DJ you have the reassurance that they are covered. However we are always very conscious about Health & Safety requirements and undertake many activities to ensure the safety of all. Links to confirm our PLI status can be found below.
Do you provide Portable Appliance Testing Certificates?
We can produce certificates covering our equipments Portable Appliance Testing (PAT). All our equipment is tested at least annually to ensure everything is electrically safe. Please contact us for further details.
Please check with your venue if they require sight of any documentation before the event. It is always advisable to give us plenty of notice if this is a requirement of the booking, although we do usually carry copies with us on the day.
Do you have any method statements or Risk Assessments available for the type of work you undertake?
Yes we do, risk assessments are usually site specific, but our method statement covers the different system options we have readily available to us. These documents can be made available on request. Please be aware that we have to consider health & Safety requirements of everyone who may be present therefore when setting up, we may not be able to set up in certain locations for reasons such as blocking fire exits, obstructing accessways etc. When this occurs we will endeavour to inform you beforehand.
How will the DJ Dress?
We will dress accordingly depending on the formality of the event. If you have any special requirements for attire, such as black tie please let us know.
What other things are worth considering prior to the booking? Please consider and inform us in advance:
Do you want the use of a Microphone and PA system for speeches?
Do you want background music during any meal or buffet breaks? Are we sharing the function with a band, or other entertainment? Are we expected to set up in a marquee?
Is there limited space at the venue or limited access to set up?
What time will the DJ arrive?
In order to get everything set up and checked in good time we require at least 1 hour before guests arrive. Please make sure that your venue can accomodate this requirement, as we cannot be held responsible for any delay in the start of the performance.
What time should the event finish?
When considering the finishing time for your disco, also consider how long most of the guests have been there. Do you have a lot of young children, or elderly relatives who may leave early? Have any guests travelled a long distance to be there, and may need to leave early in order to return home?
Do I require any specific licences?
The venue you book must hold all the required licences including those needed to cover public performance of any music. Please check that they hold current Performing Rights Society (PRS for music) and PPL licences. We hold a Produb Licence, this allows us to 'format shift' music (Copied from CD etc onto laptops etc) for use in licenced venues. If you require a music licence we would be happy to advise you how this can be done.
Can we view the DJ in advance?
We are sorry, but unfortunaterly It is not always practical to see us working, especially as we mostly provide mobile discos for weddings, or other private functions. It would not be ethical or professional for a working DJ to invite potential clients to other peoples private functions for viewing purposes.

2. By email

When we issue the booking agreement and terms and conditions please read these documents carefully.
